We can all use a little comfort every now and then. The challenge is, how can you indulge without completely undoing the promise you made to yourself to live a healthier lifestyle? Your answer to prayer, is substitution! For every single thing you crave, God had an original design. What you’ve enjoyed previously is just an counterfeit produced by the devil using some form of God’s original creation.

I hope you enjoy this collection of a few of my favorites. The Chai Smoothie is a client favorite. Don’t skip the cardamom! After a stressful day, I often make some variation of the Pita Pizza. My favorite Saturday night snack is Popcorn! On weekend mornings, I love making a good old fashioned Grit Bowl but with different toppings. Who doesn’t love a good quesadilla? The Spinach Quesadilla is built using a vegan cheese sauce that will immediately become your new go-to sauce to top potatoes, nachos and more. Chana Masala gives me an international fix with warm comforting flavors. The Noodle Stir-fry is one of my go to’s on nights where I’m short on time but super hungry. And who doesn’t love Mac and Cheese? This version will give you delight minus the inflammation and heartache of the dairy version.

You’ll need to purchase a donut pan to make the Glazed Cake Style Donuts…but its worth it. Soothe inflammation and enlighten your tastebuds with the Golden Turmeric Hot Chocolate as a nightcap. Make a batch of Peanut Butter Brownies over the weekend and take them for lunch all week long for that afternoon munchie fix. Craving ice cream? Make the Chocolate Banana Fro-Yo and be satisfied!

Who knew the blessings of Abraham also included yummy foods that won’t pack on the pounds? Your biggest problem will be sharing with others. Sigh. It’s hard for me too sis. lol. Enjoy.
